Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of speaking on AI, digital transformation, and cross-cultural collaboration at multiple industry events. Each presentation deepened my understanding of how organizations struggle with AI adoption—and how those struggles have evolved in just a short time.
At the PMI Great Lakes Professional Development Day, I spoke about The Future of Work: Empowering the PMO to Lead in AI. At that time, most PMOs were still hesitant about AI integration, treating it as an automation tool rather than a strategic enabler. Fast forward a few months, and the conversation has shifted—organizations now realize that AI isn’t about replacing humans, but augmenting their decision-making.
Similarly, my lectures at the Project Management Innovation Conference in Harrisburg and PMI Great Lakes Spring Symposium focused on cultural agility and communication in global teams. What’s changed since then? AI itself is now a cross-cultural collaborator, influencing how teams interact across different languages and business environments. Tools that were once seen as transactional assistants are evolving into strategic partners.
Looking ahead, the conversation is no longer just about AI adoption—it’s about trust, usability, and integration into high-stakes decision-making. This is where my work with The Catalyst is heading: AI that doesn’t just provide information but evolves with the user over time.
As we move into the next year of AI transformation, I’m excited to continue refining these ideas and shaping how businesses and individuals can harness AI for real, sustainable growth.
